s͛Card is equipped with two types of privacy functions in place
1. Public information - the contact information you entered to display on your s͛Card Profile can be switched off, and it will no longer display on your card. You can do that by visiting Profile > Edit Profile (login is required).
Once you turn it off, visitors cannot see your contact information, and they can only contact you using the s͛Card Private Messaging function to reach you.
2. Search Engine Privacy (For Pro account only) - when your profile becomes popular, there may be a chance that the search engine will pick up your link and display it on their search queries. Our Search Engine Privacy function will prevent access from major search engines from accessing your s͛Card Profile.
Just an update: we added more features to improve our privacy:
- We provided hidden information for mobile that displays an email address on the profile while it is still workable if the user taps it.
For example:
If the number is +65 8123 4567, you will see +65 **** **** if it is hidden. This will apply to the system-generated business card image.
If the email address is [email protected], you will see ****@company.com. If it is hidden on the system-generated business card image as on display, you will only see "E-mail Me".
Doing this will not affect the CTA.
- We added prevention for crawler bots to scrape data off the contact information. This also includes search engine bots.
- We will add a new privacy setting that allows users to choose who can view their profile: the public or a selective group of users.
